LEGO Icons Eiffel Tower 10307 Review – A Monument in Bricks
Full review of LEGO Icons 10307 Eiffel Tower. 10,001 pieces, 1.5m tall — we cover the build experience, display impact and whether this iconic LEGO set for adults is worth the price.
LEGO 10307 — ten thousand bricks and one icon
LEGO Icons 10307 Eiffel Tower is one of the most ambitious sets LEGO has ever released. 10,001 pieces, standing 1.5 metres (nearly 5 feet) tall when complete, and a build that takes most people 12–20 hours to finish. This isn't a set — it's a project.
If you're looking for the ultimate LEGO gift for adults that truly impresses, or a flagship display piece for your home or office, the 10307 is one of the strongest choices in the entire LEGO Icons lineup.
Scale and accuracy
The tower is built at 1:87 scale, making it compatible with H0-gauge model trains if that's your thing. LEGO has put enormous effort into capturing the tower's iconic lattice structure — the result is genuinely impressive in its accuracy.
The four legs angle inward correctly, the platforms at each level are richly detailed, and the top even features the characteristic radio antenna. As a display piece, LEGO Eiffel Tower 10307 is hard to beat.
The build experience
The build is divided into stages by section and personally took us 14 hours across three sessions. LEGO has done a smart job varying the techniques throughout — you're never repeating the same step for hours on end; there's always something new to explore.
One warning though: your fingers will pay for it. There's a lot of repetitive SNOT work (Stud Not On Top) and densely packed pins. Plan your sessions with breaks.
Presentation and packaging
The tower comes with a decorative display plaque and information cards about Gustave Eiffel's original design. That level of thoughtfulness elevates the set from "impressive model" to "great gift" — the packaging is polished enough to give directly.
Is LEGO Eiffel Tower 10307 worth the price?
Calculate the cost per piece: under 25 cents per brick for a flagship set of this calibre. Compared to alternatives in the scale modelling world, LEGO is genuinely competitive.
The real value is the experience — and the fact that you end up with one of the most spectacular LEGO Icons sets in existence displayed in your home. Resale value holds extremely well too: 10307 is consistently one of the best-performing LEGO sets on the secondary market.
